What is Attributed Identity?

Today, we must prove our identity on a regular basis. Whether it is to the police officer that pulls you over, the bank when you open a new account, or the power company, there are hundreds of instances where one must prove their identity.

Attributed identity includes tokens of identity that are given at birth, including full name and parents name.

Of the may attributed identifiers, the name is the most common, although in the United States, the Social Security Number is another very common identifier. When it comes to identity theft, the attributed identifier is the most commonly abused token of identity.
